I am extremely demanding, high maintenance & schlepping around enough colour coordinated baggage to make the surviving crocodiles nervous
I have passed the insecure stage of trying to impress strangers with my redeeming (or lack thereof) qualities.
If I was so good looking, funny, intelligent, generous, kind, successful or hot in bed then I certainly would not be here
And neither would you
So, we are all here looking for something, unfortunately some of us are searching for that mythical city of El Dorado (which if we drop our standards and actually look around us, will see its been here all along), and some of us just prefer the anonymity of sharing our lives here with amazing people which we will never have the chance to meet face to face
Why is the criteria demands so high on this site for many users? Both men and women? Must be good looking, Must be intelligent. Must have blue eyes. Must have a sense of humour. Must be sexy or at least athletic. Must be wealthy. What does that make you? A trophy hunter?
And that thing "must have no baggage?"
Show me somebody who does not have any baggage and I will show you somebody who can fly to the dark side of the moon riding on the back of a colour blind newt
Besides, if there were no people out there with baggage, all the baggage handlers and porters of the world would be unemployed and hanging around on the streets causing mischief
Mind you, I am pretty good at carrying my own baggage, but occasionally, (in moments when overwhelmed by too much vodka and bitter lemon), I like opening the bags and showing you their contents. Not for you to touch, or to change, or to keep. Just so that you know where I have been, and where I am going

And you must be able to amuse yourself, seriously!
You should have a passion for reading, and I am not just talking about the Sunday comic or the back of the cereal box while you are eating your Coco Pops. Anything and everything, it does not matter, from Plato to the Hardy boys and Jordan Peterson, from Terry Pratchett to Richard Dawkins and Douglas Murray. Mind you, even if you just read a Mills & Boon, I will still let you lie on the couch

You should be able to cook. Preferably not one minute noodles or baked beans in a can - that's my speciality. I will keep you company in the kitchen or at the braai, refill your drink and change the Spotify or YouTube playlist.
I don't/can't cook, (long story about a pressure cooker, beetroot and a white cat) however, that being said and all my other phobias aside, I make stunning sandwiches, (truly), magnificent salads (that don't involve lettuce or other green papery substances), phenomenal garlic bread, and give amazing foot rubs.
Also, please don't nag me about how much MSG or junk food I eat in my food just because you are a health nut into HIIT and intermittent fasting. We can b*tch and moan about all that when we are 90 and you have to wheel me and my oxygen pump onto the stoep to watch the vultures silhouettes dancing in the heat waves
